Obituary of Noreen Murphy

Noreen Murphy of Goshen, a retired elevator operator in the Bronx, N.Y., died on July 5, 2018 in Orange Regional Medical Center.  She was 92.

The daughter of the late Daniel and Bridget O’Connor, she was born on December 4, 1925 in Ireland.

She was the widow of Bartholomew Murphy.

Survivors include her daughters Barbara DeGroat and Rosemarie O’Gorman both of Chester and her six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her son Michael Murphy.

Visitation hours will be held on Sunday July 8, 2018 from 3-7 P.M. at the Lippincott Funeral Chapel, Inc. 107 Murray Ave. Goshen, N.Y.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday July 9, 2018 at 9 A.M. at St. Columba Church High St. Chester, N.Y.

Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties.
