Obituary of Loretta Patterson

Loretta A. Patterson, a retired employee for Orange County DSS and lifelong resident of the area, passed away Sunday June 10, 2018 at Orange Regional Medical Center. She was 80.

 

The daughter of the late John and Esther Cushing Purgatorio, she was born November 15, 1937 in Middletown, New York.

She was an avid golfer and a #1 Tiger Woods fan. She loved her family very much and will be missed dearly.

She was the widow of Ted Patterson.

Survivors include her sons: Scott A. Patterson (Alice) of Westbrookville, NY and Jeff Patterson (Kelly) of Middletown, NY; her grandchildren: Crystal Patterson and Scott D. Patterson and his fiance Amanda of Westbrookville, NY; as well as so many special nieces and nephews, especially Debbie who was like a daughter to her.

Loretta was predeceased by her siblings Joyce, Pat, Rose, Mike and Jack; her grandson: James R. Patterson; as well as her friend and companion: Jerry Amos.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Hospice for the great care at ORMC, especially Molly Kuhn for her exceptional care.

A Graveside Service for family and friends will be held at 2:30 PM on Friday June 15, 2018 at Westbrookville Cemetery in Westbrookville, NY.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties.
