Michael C. Gehler of Greenwood Lake, a retired teamster with Local 807 and a lifelong resident of the area, died on May 14, 2016 at his home. He was 64. The son of the late Charles and Florence Gehler, he was born on May 29, 1951 in Warwick, New York. Michael was a local bartender for many years and worked at the Playboy Club at Vernon Valley in New Jersey. He was a member of the Greenwood Lake Elks Club. Survivors include his wife Sharon K. Gehler at home. His three children Joseph Gehler of Panama City, Fl.; Judi Dahlgren of Mishawaka, Indiana and Christina Bullaro and her husband Gordon of the State of Florida. His brother John Gehler of Monroe, N.Y. His five grandchildren Anthony Bullaro; Nicolas Bullaro; Abby Whaley; Austin Dahlgren and Selena Gehler. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Visitation hours will be held on Monday June 6, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the Strong-Basile Funeral Home 4 Oak St. Greenwood Lake, N.Y. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday June 7, 2016 at 10 A.M. at the Funeral Home. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
