Obituary of David E. Vedder

David E. Vedder of Middletown, retired glazier with Patterson Glass in Middletown and a former parking lot attendant at Orange County Community College, died on April 23, 2016 in Montrose VA Hospital . He was 93. The son of the late Harold and Florence Jones Vedder, he was born on September 21, 1922 in Johnstown, New York. He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of American Legion Post 151 and the VFW in Middletown, N.Y. and a life member of the Shawangunk Fish and Game Club. Survivors include his children Debra Vedder at home; John David Vedder and his wife Virginia of Alabama and Stephanie Gotthardt and her husband Joseph of Pine Bush. His grandchildren William and Thomas Cutler; John David Vedder Jr. and his wife Natalie; Lauren Vedder; Jared, Trevor and Ryan Gotthardt and one great grandchild Rayna Cutler. He was predeceased by his granddaughter Helen Vedder and his former wives Estelle Brown Vedder and Nancy Vedder. Visitation hours will be held on Friday April 29, 2016 from 4-7 P.M. Funeral Services will be held on Friday evening during Visitation. Burial will be held in the Ferndale Cemetery in Johnstown, N.Y.
