John H. Rose of North Las Vegas, Nevada, a retired cook from the Middletown Psychiatric Center and a former longtime resident of Middletown, N.Y., died on December 6, 2013 in Las Vegas. He was 74. The son of the late Clarence and Lula Coon Rose, he was born on October 29, 1939 in Stone Ridge, New York. He was a member of the Waalkill Engine Co. and the Middletown Fire Police. He was also a member of the Elks and Order of the Moose. Survivors his children Gary Scott and Dale Scott both of Middletown; Gerald Wick Jr. of the State of Florida; Jody Thomas of North Las Vegas , NV.; Terri Sheeley of Naponach and John Rose Jr. of Ellenville. His brothers Clarence Rose ; Jimmy Grimm and Harry Grimm. He is also survived by his eight grandsons and two great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Visitation hours will be held on Friday December 13, 2013 from 5-8 P.M. with Firematic services at 7 P.M. at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc. 72 West Main St. Middletown, N.Y. Funeral services will be held on Saturday December 14, 2013 at 10 A.M. at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Poplar Grove Cemetery Phillipsport, N.Y.
