Obituary of Evelyn E. Jarvais

Evelyn E. Jarvais of Goshen, retired owner of E&M General Store and Post Office in Phillipsport, N.Y. and a longtime resident of the area, died on June 22, 2013 in Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown, N.Y. She was 94. The youngest daughter of the late Bernard and Cecelia Kraft, she was born on October 26, 1918 in Bronx, New York. She was a member of the Ellenville Hospital Auxiliary and the Ellenville Community Center. She was the widow of the late Norman Michael Jarvais. Survivors include her children Jan Cartwright of Minnesota and Bonnie Ingrassia and her husband Joseph of Cuddebackville. She is also survived by her 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Karen Mayer; her great-grandson and her brothers and sisters. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday June 25, 2013 at 10 A.M. at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc. 72 West Main St. Middletown, N.Y. Burial will be in Poplar Grove Cemetery Phillipsport, N.Y. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
