Obituary of Frederick W. Jones

Frederick W. Jones, a retired Housing Inspector from the Omaha Housing Authority in Omaha, NE., died on June 11, 2014 at his home. He was 80. The son of the late Booker T. Taylor and Ailene Jones, he was born on January 12, 1934 in Lake City, Florida. He was a veteran and a former staff sargeant in the U.S. Air Force having served for 10 years, including the Korean War. He was involved with the American Red Cross and was a poll watcher during elections. Survivors include his wife Sadie Jones at home. His children: Brenda Jones; Tinomi Jones; Valencia Brassman and her husband Edward; Vincent Jones; Wayne Jones and his wife Dorothy and Derek Jones. His step children William David McCoy; Curtis McCoy and Sylvia Holmes. His mother and father-in-law William and Gertrude Dixon. His sisters-in-laws Elizabeth H. Miller; Gertrude Wisher and her husband Calvin and Roberta Price all of Middletownand his brother-in-law Ralph Mann. He is also survived by his grandchildren; great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Pearl Mae Jones and his children Debra Jones and Lemel Jones. Visitation hours will be held on Thursday June 19, 2014 from 10-11 A.M. at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc. 72 West Main Street Middletown, New York. Funeral services will follow at 11 A.M. at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Orange County Veterans Cemetery in Goshen, N.Y. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
