Obituary of Edith E. Dill

Edith E. Dill of Goshen, a homemaker and longtime resident of the area died Tuesday February 5, 2013 at Elant in Goshen. She was 93. The daughter of the late Clarence and Bessie Sturges Shaffer, she was born on April 23, 1919 in Danbury, Connecticut. She was the widow of John Dill. Edith was a member of the Goshen United Methodist Church; she was active with the Red Door Thrift Shop and Goshen Senior Citizens. She wintered in Florida for many years. Survivors include her children: Barbara E. Jensen and her husband Robert of Port Orange, Florida; John M. Dill and his wife Carol of Deland, Florida; Robert C. Dill of Maybrook, NY; Bonnie L.D. Svolto and her husband Ernest of Daytona Beach Shores, Florida; her eight grandchildren: Scott Jensen; Craig Jensen; Stephanie McGuire; Brett Dill; Eric Dill; James Dill; Jamie Williams and David Burton. She is further survived by her eleven great grandchildren; several step grandchildren; step great grandchildren; several nieces; nephews and one cousin Dorothy Perry of Danbury, CT. The family wishes to thank the Goshen United Methodist Church family for their support and friendship over the years. Committal services will be held prior to the Funeral Services at 10:45 on Thursday February 14, 2013 at Orange County Veteran's Cemetery in Goshen, NY. Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 AM on Thursday February 14, 2013 at the Goshen United Methodist Church.
