John F. O'Keefe Greenwood Lake, New York John F. O'Keefe, a retired master plumber for the Local 1 Plumbers Union in New York, NY and a resident of Greenwood Lake, died on Monday April 30, 2012 at Northern Metropolitan Nursing Home in Monsey, N.Y.. He was 63. The son of the late John J. and Dorothy Pell O'Keefe, he was born on April 11, 1949 in Bronx, New York. Survivors include his children Caitlin and Meghan O'Keefe of Greenwood Lake, N.Y. and James Kunzler of Yonkers, N.Y. His brothers Kevin O'Keefe and his wife Sheila of Stony Point; Robert O'Keefe and his wife Cherri of Washington State and Daniel O'Keefe of Deerfield Beach, Fl. His sister Dorothy Diana and her husband Bill of Chester, N.J. He is also survived by nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Visitation will be held on Wednesday May 2, 2012 from 6-9 PM at Strong-Basile Funeral Home 4 Oak Street Greenwood Lake, NY. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday May 3, 2012 at 10 AM at Holy Rosary Church in Greenwood Lake. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sisters of the Good Shepherd Provence Center 25-30 21st Ave. Astoria, N.Y. 11105.
