Michele Svizzero of Middletown, a retired presser with Calvert Coat Co. in Middletown, died on January 29, 2016 at his home. He was 82. The son of the late Palmerino and Rosa Svizzero, he was born on July 18, 1933 in Italy. A family statement read: "Dad was a kind, strong, honorable man with great love for his family and will be forever missed." Survivors include his wife Caterina Svizzero at home. His children Rosetta Bastek and her husband James of Westtown, N.Y. Palmerino Svizzero and his wife Tina Marie of Warwick, N.Y. and Angelina Merritt and her husband David of Orlando, Florida. His nine grandchildren: Jessica and James Batek; Tania; Michael; Gina; Adam; Emily; Liane and Daniel. He is also survived by his four great-grandchildren Logan, Bailey, Gavin and Paulie and his brother Simone Svizzero of Italy as well as his many nieces and nephews. Visitation hours will be held on Sunday January 31, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc. 72 West Main St. Middletown, N.Y. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday February 1, 2016 at 11 A.M. in St. Joseph R.C. Church 149 Cottage St. Middletown, N.Y. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery Middletown, N.Y.
