Thomas W. Sherman Sr. of Middletown, New York, the retired Optical Program Director at the Wallkill Correctional Facility, passed away on February 19, 2024 in Garnet Health Medical Center in Middletown, N.Y. He was 75. The son of the late George and Mary Sherman, he was born on January 22, 1949 in Middletown, N.Y. Tom worked many years at Vision City in the Orange Plaza Mall. He was the widower of Pauline Sherman. Survivors include his children Thomas W. Sherman, Jr. (Cindy) and Kathleen Sherman Cristiano (Michael) all of Middletown, N.Y. His grandchildren Thomas Sherman III and Justin Sherman (Lauren). His brothers Robert Sherman (Sue) and Gregory Sherman. His sister Mary Wiltshire (Ray). His sisters-in-law Sara Sherman and Angel Shoemaker. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews and his extended family Danny, Doreen and Heather. He was predeceased by his sister Bonnie and his brothers George and Tom Tyler and his fishing and hunting buddy and nephew George Sherman. Visitation hours will be held on Friday February 23, 2024 from 3-6 P.M. at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc. 72 West Main St. Middletown, N.Y. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. The family requests no flowers with contributions to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital.
