Obituary of Sandra C. Woodard

Sandra C. Woodard of Greenwood Lake, New York, joined the Lord on February 27, 2023 at St. Anthony’s Community Hospital in Warwick, N.Y. She was 66. She was born on November 24, 1956, to the late Argileu and Severina dos Santos Costa in Cacule, Bahia, Brasil. She later emigrated to Queens, New York in 1975 at the age of 19. She married her husband, Kevin, in 1986. They moved to Greenwood Lake in 1989. To spend more time with her children, she bought and revived a laundromat in Butler, New Jersey that she has owned since 1993. Her influence in the community was as big as her personality, lending a hand whenever she could. She is survived by her husband, Kevin Woodard, at home. Her children Josh Woodard, Kevin B. C. Woodard, Daniella B. C. Woodard and her furry child, Zulu; her cousin Ulisses Carvalho. She is also survived by her grandchildren Saiya and Sagan, her many brothers and sisters as well as numerous friends and loved ones. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on March 11, 2023, at St. Anthony of Padua at 11:00 am. The address is 65 Bartholdi Ave, Butler, New Jersey 07405. Afterwards, a repast will be held at her laundromat at 216 Main St., Butler, New Jersey 07405. Please refrain from wearing black. In lieu of flowers, we are asking for donations to continue her tradition of giving back to the children and those of need in her home city in Brasil.
