Obituary of Owen Patrick Holmbraker

Owen "Pat" Holmbraker of Middletown, N.Y. a retired welder for the County of Orange and a lifelong resident of the area, passed away on September 10, 2022 at his home with his family by his side. He was 91. The son of the late Robert and Anna Doyle Holmbraker, he was born on April 18, 1931 in Middletown, New York. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served during the Korean War. He was a member of American Legion Post 151 in Middletown, N.Y. for over 50 years. Survivors include his wife Marion Holmbraker at home. His children Christine Voorhis and her husband Roger of Clarksville, Tennessee and Terri Clavelle of Middletown, N.Y. His sister Jean Kerrigan of Palm Coast, Florida and his grandchildren Danielle Clavelle of Port St. Lucie, FL. and Richard Clavelle of Virginia. His great grandchildren Skylar, Nathan and Patrick James. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Robert J. Holmbraker. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday September 15, 2022 at 11 A.M. at St. Joseph Church in Middletown, N.Y. Burial with military honors will follow in Wallkill Cemetery Phillipsburg, N.Y. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Joseph Church Middletown, N.Y. or Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties.
