Obituary of Ignatius J. Kukelka

Ignatius J. Kukelka of Goshen, a retired butcher for Chester Packing and a lifelong resident of the area, died on February 2, 2015 in Orange Regional Medical Center. He was 92. The son of the late Carl and Anna Snerch Kukelka, he was born on June 27, 1922 in Pine Island, N.Y. He was a member of St. John's R.C. Church in Goshen, where he also served as an usher. He was a 4th Degree member of Knights of Columbus in Goshen. He was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels; a volunteer at the Valley View Nursing Home Bingo and a volunteer with the Rosary at St. Theresa's Nursing Home. He was the widower of Martha Cardillo Kukelka. Survivors include his brother Stanley Kukelka of New Hampton. His three loving nieces Helen Hevener and her husband Jim; Ceptie Jaconetti and her husband Eugene and Jeanne Oldfield. He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews. Visitation hours will be held on Friday February 6, 2015 from 3-8 P.M. at the Lippincott Funeral Chapel, Inc. 107 Murray Ave. Goshen, N.Y. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday February 7, 2015 at 9 A.M. at St. John's R.C. Church Murray Ave. Goshen, N.Y. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery Goshen, N.Y. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's R.C. Church 71 Murray Ave. Goshen, N.Y. 10924.
