Obituary of Joyce Elaine Rothacker

Joyce Elaine Rothacker born February 8, 1933, passed away on May 20, 2022 surrounded by her family in Westlake Village CA. Formerly a resident of Bloomingburg NY for 75 years, she graduated Middletown High School Class of 1951 She was married to Gustav Rothacker, on June 15, 1957, in Middletown New York. They had enjoyed 64 years together before Gustav passed away in January of 2021. She worked with Gustav in the family business Eastern Tile previously located in Middletown NY Joyce was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to cook, travel and enjoy her time with family and many friends. Joyce is survived by their children Valerie Sanchez of Mc Allen TX, Linda Korade of Westlake Village CA, and Erika Zilewicz of Las Vegas NV; Grandchildren Gonzalo Sanchez, Emilie Korade and Jillan Korade; her sisters Jean Freer, Winnie McCarey, William Weissert and sister- in-law Grace Weissert. Memorial service will take place at 10:00 am on Tuesday, July 26 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Middletown NY. Burial will be in the Bloomingburg Cemetery following the service as Joyce and Gustav will be laid to rest together eternally. Arrangements are under the direction of Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Homes.
