Obituary of Leslie Blum

Les Blum, loving husband, devoted father, and trusted friend, passed away May 22, 2022. He was 82. Les joins his wife, Louise, as they have entered eternal rest. He is survived by his sons, Matthew and Michael, and his daughter in law, Jennifer. Les was an Army veteran and retired from the Treasury Department where he worked as an IRS group manager. In his retirement he was an avid beekeeper and enjoyed gardening, hunting, and fishing. He was also a member of Orange County ARES/RACES as well as the Orange County Amateur Radio Club. Friends are invited to the memorial service celebrating his life at Strong-Basile Funeral Home, 4 Oak Street, in Greenwood Lake on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 from 3pm to 6pm. There will be a private internment for the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Bee Conservancy or Wounded Warrior Project.
