Obituary of Marie J. King

Marie J. King of Middletown, a retired nurse at Arden Hill Hospital in Goshen, and a longtime resident of the area, died on January 16, 2015 at Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown. She was 83. The daughter of the late George and Johanna Hoekstra Hoogenhuis, she was born on November 9, 1931 in Midland Park, New Jersey. She was a member of the Goshen Christian Reformed Church in Goshen. She was a volunteer at the Twice Blessed Thrift Store. Survivors include her husband Arnold King at home. Her children: Ginny Grebeldinger and her husband Mark; Ron King and his wife Trish; Sandy Culver and her husband Charles; Jim King and his wife Sally and Tim King and his wife Linda. Her brother George Hoogenhuis and his wife Clara. She is also survived by 9 Grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Jeanette. Visitation hours will be held on Sunday January 18, 2015 from 2-5 P.M. at the Lippincott Funeral Chapel, Inc. 107 Murray Avenue Goshen, New York. Funeral Services will be held on Monday January 19, 2015 at 11 A.M. at the Goshen Christian Reformed Church Route 17A Goshen, N.Y. Burial will follow in Orange County Veterans Cemetery Goshen, New York. Memorial contributions may be made to the Gideon's International.
