Ellen M. McKay-Brink of the Town of Mt. Hope, a longtime resident of the area passed away on September 22, 2021 in Garnet Health Medical Center. She was 90. The daughter of the late Frederik and Ellen Letteri Eckhard, she was born on August 18, 1931 in New York, N.Y. Ellen was retired from JC Penney in Middletown, N.Y. where she served as the Catalog manager for many years. She was the widow of Malcolm McKay and Joseph Brink. Survivors include her children Lynne Tears and her husband Bill of Godeffroy, N.Y.; Kenneth McKay and his companion Tina of ILL.; and Michael McKay and his wife Christina of Louisiana. Her stepchildren Donna Fischer (Randy) of Callicoon; Debi Brink of Middletown; Christine Canzoneri (Christian) of Goshen; Nancy Brink of Montrose and Joseph R. Brink (Terri) of Monroe, N.Y. She is also survived by many beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her grandson Kenny McKay. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Scotchtown Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Neversink Valley Museum P.O. Box 263 Cuddebackville, N.Y. 12729.
