Helen D. Maers of Chester, a homemaker and a 25 year resident of the area, died on December 11, 2014 at home. She was 88. The daughter of the late John and Margaret McKenna Keeley, she was born on December 16, 1925 in New York City. She was a member of St. Columba R.C. Church in Chester. She was the widow of John Maers. Survivors include her children: Margaret Holland and her husband Dennis of Chester, N.Y., Alice Czarnetzki and her husband Stephen of Highland Mills, N.Y., Michael Maers and his wife Doreen of Cornwall, N.Y., John Maers and his wife Lucia of Virginia and Thomas Maers and his wife Tuoi of Pittsburgh, PA. Her grandchildren: Justin; Nicole; Tim; Anthony; Elizabeth; Kaitlyn; Christopher; Alexander and Sammy. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Visitation hours will be held on Saturday December 13, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the Lippincott Funeral Home, Inc. 92 Main St. Chester, New York. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday December 15, 2014 at 10 A.M. at St. Columba R.C. Church High St. Chester, New York. Burial will follow in St. Columba Cemetery Chester, New York.
