Joseph E Brink Nov. 30, 1934 - Dec. 6, 2020 Joseph E Brink of Mt. Hope, NY passed away after a gallant battle with cancer at Garnet Medical Center. He was86. Joe was born in Goshen, NY to Josephine and Stanley Brink and grew up on the family farm. Joe retired after 50 years as a Milk Tester for DHIA. He covered Orange & Ulster Counties and was dedicated to his work. He was pre-deceased by his parents, brothers Raymond, Stanley, and Paul and his sister Emily. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Ellen McKay-Brink, sisters Grace & Patricia of Goshen, children Donna and her husband Randy of Callicoon, NY, Nancy Brink of Montrose, NY, Debi Brink of Middletown, NY, Christine Canzoneri and her husband Christian of Goshen, NY and son Joseph R and his wife Terri of Monroe, NY. He is also survived by his step-children, Lynne Tears and her husband Bill of Godeffroy, NY, Kenneth McKay and his wife Tina of Lake Villa, IL, and Michael McKay and his wife Christina of Springfield, LA. Joe also leaves behind 8 grandchildren, 3 greatgrandchildren, and 3 step-grandchildren. Joe loved working in the outdoors and especially helping his son Joe haying in the summertime. The family wishes to thank all of the wonderful medical staff, infusion department and nurses who took care of Joe, especially his end-of-life care-givers who were with him so he didn't go to his final sleep alone. Due to the current Covid-19 crisis, cremation and internment of Joe's cremains will be at the convenience of the family in Scotchtown Cemetery. Joe would be very pleased to have donations made in his name to The Salvation Army of Port Jervis, 22 Ball Street, Port Jervis, NY 12771 because he spent many happy hours browsing through their thrift store.
