Stephen Encababian of Montgomery, N.Y., a former business owner and longtime resident of the area passed away on Sunday November 5, 2023 in Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital. He was 72. The son of Ara Jack and Alice Encababian, he was born on August 6, 1951 in Bronx, New York. Stephen grew up in Washington Heights in N.Y. City and was a graduate of George Washington High School (just barely). Stephen was an avid tennis player and played at Orange Hollow Racquet Club and Thomas Bull Park. He was also a member of the Nyack Field Club. The family would like to thank Dr. Gulati and the staff of Middletown Medical for saving his life numerous times. Survivors include his brother Glenn Encababian and his niece Chelsea Encababian and nephew Connor Encababian. Visitation hours will be held on Monday November 13, 2023 from 3-7 P.M. at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc. 72 West Main St. Middletown, N.Y. The family will be having a Graveside Service on Tuesday November 14, 2023 at 1 P.M. at the Cedar Grove Cemetery in Flushing, N.Y.
