Obituary of Elsie E. Manco

Elsie E. Manco, 92, of Middletown, N.Y. was called to her heavenly home on July 10, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. She had several medical conditions including A-fib and Alzheimer's Disease that she bravely faced with a sense of humor. The daughter of the late Frederick and Elizabeth Finger, she was born on June 22, 1931 in Brooklyn, N.Y. She was the widow of Ernest G. Manco and was predeceased by her grandson Kenneth McIlroy and her brother Fredrick Finger. Elsie was a retired Registered Nurse from the Middletown Psychiatric Center in Middletown, N.Y. Elsie previously worked at Horton Hospital, St. Theresa's Nursing Home, and the Jean Black Center all in Middletown, N.Y. She volunteered at Garnet Hospital for several years. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Middletown, N.Y. and she was active in the Quilting and Sewing Group at the Church, she also enjoyed her time in Bible Study and the Book Club. Additionally, Elsie loved to garden, yard sale, and spend time with her family and friends. Survivors include her children Linda Martini (Richard Owens) of Utica, N.Y. Robert Manco and his wife Sarah of Folly Beach, South Carolina and Dr. Barbara Manco NP of Middletown, N.Y. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at St John's Lutheran Church on Friday July 14, 2023 at 4:30 pm at Mt Hope Road, Middletown NY.
