Shawneece Renee Bradford Sunrise May 4, 1970-Sunset June 30, 2023 Shawneece Renee Bradford, also known as "Niecy", was born to Marjorie and Donald Cecil Bradford on May 4th 1970 at Morrisania Hospital in the Bronx, NY. Shawneece attended Christ the King Catholic School from the 1st to the 8th grade. She then attended Norman Thomas High School. She was later enrolled at Hostos Community College where she received several credits that led her to the field of education. Shawneece was a teacher at heart. She started working at the 63rd Street and the 92nd Street YMCA as a youth counselor. Her love for children led her to further her career when she was employed at the Children's Discovery Center located at One World Trade Center. Shawneece's love and passion for teaching was most evident when she became a licensed family child care provider and ran a successful in-home daycare for several years. Shawneece was a dedicated mother. Her life, her world, was her boys. She loved them very dearly. Shawneece was very involved in her boy's education, from preschool to college, she was their number one advocate. Not only did she check homework, but she did homework if that meant her boys would succeed. She made her presence known by speaking to their teachers and coaches. Shawneece most recently attended the graduation of her sons from Alfred State College. Shawneece was the ultimate sports mom. She cheered at every game from football, basketball, wrestling, and track and field. You name it, she was there. She was the bus driver, the cook, the cheerleader, the nurse, and the coach among other things. Any and everything, she held the title, the list goes on and on. Shawneece is survived by her mother, father and her five sons; two sets of twins plus one: Richard Jose, Shane Joseph, Ryan Jonathan, Shawn John and Rahman Kareem as well as her grandson Kameron Josiah. She also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and an endless amount of friends and supporters. Shawneece will be remembered as a loving, heroic, and selfless person.
