Mary Jane "Jane" (Zuhoski) Imbrogno, a loving and devoted wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away on June 23, 2023, at the age of 86. She was born on March 26, 1937, in Astoria Queens, NY, to the late Thomas and Mary (Diamond) Zuhoski. Jane was raised in Flushing Queens with her younger sister Helen, where they enjoyed a vibrant childhood together filled with cherished memories. Her life took a beautiful turn when God intervened, and she crossed paths with her future husband, George A. Imbrogno, at their workplace, Con Edison, in 1956. Love struck them both at first sight, and they embarked on their own unique journey of love. In 1958, they exchanged vows, and shared 63 beautiful years together. After their marriage, Jane and George resided in the Bronx and later in Middletown, NY, where they finished raising their six children. In 2000, they retired to Pompano Beach, Florida, enjoying the sunshine and a well-deserved break. Jane's love for her family was evident in every aspect of her life. She cared for them unconditionally and dedicated herself to their happiness and well-being, always putting them first. Jane's gentle and kind nature was evident in her warm smile and sparkling green/blue eyes, which had the power to light up any room. Her demeanor was calm, cool and collective, always going with the flow and never complaining. Her advise to happiness was "keep your mouth shut" and "In one ear and out the other." She must have been onto something because she was always happy, content and never cried, but twice at a funeral. Although quiet most of the time, she was one of great strengths with a powerful will to live. Her favorite phrases were "If you say so", If you want to", "That's right", "Too bad", Why not", "Whatever you want", "Happy Birthday to you", and last but not least "Toodaloo" Her faith was a guiding force in her life, and she loved the Lord and His only begotten son, Jesus Christ, as her Savior. Her unwavering belief in the power of love and her devotion to her family will forever be remembered. Jane is survived by her six children: Jean Marie Barone, Joanne Imbrogno, Giulio Imbrogno and his wife Sarah, Thomas Imbrogno, Nancy Hiller and her husband Sean, and George R. Imbrogno. She is also survived by her sister, Helen Frey; sisters-in-law, Maria and Norma Imbrogno; and her twelve grandchildren: Nicholas and his wife Elaine, Vincent and his wife Rebecca, Danielle and her husband Henry, Joseph, Dylan, Phillip and his wife Egly, Stephanie, Gisette and her husband Ledarius, Michael, Brianna and her wife Amber, Vincent, and Gianna. Additionally, Jane leaves behind eleven great-grandchildren. Jane was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Mary Zuhoski, her beloved husband, George A. Imbrogno, her grandson Anthony Imbrogno, brothers-in-law Stephen Frey and Anthony Loddo, sisters-in-law Gloria Loddo and Sue Imbrogno. Jane's presence in our lives will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family will continue to inspire us. While the world mourns her loss, heaven has gained a saint. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
