Obituary of Martha J. Kirkcaldy

Martha J. Kirkcaldy of Middletown, N.Y. and formerly of Campbell Hall, N.Y. passed away on June 21, 2023 in Garnet Health Medical Center. She was 76. The beloved daughter of the late John and Vivian Rauner, she was born on January 19, 1947 in Suffern, N.Y. Martha was the widow of her beloved husband, David M. Kirkcaldy. She was a devoted, loving mother and grandmother to her children Karen Flynn and her husband Michael of Middletown, N.Y. and Robert "Bob" Kirkcaldy and his wife Ellen Mathys of Lilburn, G.A., her grandchildren Michael and Thomas LaForge and Sofia Kirkcaldy. Martha is survived by her brother John Rauner, his wife Louise, and their son Scott of Washington State. She is also survived by loving cousins, godson and her "grandpuppies" Mulligan, King, Emma, and Bella. Martha was employed by the Orange County Office for the Aging in Goshen and later Middletown, N.Y. She treasured time with her family and friends. Her favorite activities included spending time with her family and friends, traveling with her family, counted cross stitch gatherings with her friends and enjoying a Large Decaf Iced Coffee from Dunkin Donuts. Martha was a member of the Embroiderers' Guild of America, Western Reserve Sampler Guild and Remote Stitchers. She was a member of various Historical Societies in the area. Visitation hours will be held on Tuesday June 27, 2023 from 3-6 P.M. at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc. 72 West Main St. Middletown, N.Y. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday June 28, 2023 at 10 A.M. at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hamptonburgh Cemetery, Hamptonburgh, N.Y.
