Obituary of Tammy Sue Brockett

Tammy Sue Townsend Brockett September 18, 1968 - January 20, 2019 Otisville, New York Tammy Brockett passed away on January 20, 2019 surrounded by her loving family after a courageous three-year battle with cancer. She was 50 years old. Tammy was born in Middletown, New York and graduated from Minisink Valley High School. Tammy loved working with kids and spent her career as a Day Care provider. She had obtained her dream job as Day Care Director at the Morrison Lab School at SUNY Orange shortly before her diagnosis. Tammy is the daughter of Rosemary Wood of Middletown. She was married to her husband Brian for 28 years. They have two sons, Billy and Kasey of Otisville. She is also survived by her siblings Burt (Jeff) and Nancy Wood of Middletown; Sharee Wood of Middletown; Winnie Umhoefer and Mark Mekelberg of Inglis, Florida; Mary Marsh of Inglis, Florida; Bobbi-Jo Townsend of Hankins, NY; and Robert Townsend and Ruth Hake of Wurtsboro, NY. She is also survived by mother-in-law Dolores Brockett of Middletown; in-laws Steve and Doreen Brockett of Middletown and Randy and Sherri Brockett of Otisville. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Tammy is also survived by her long-time friend and soul-sister Patty Myers who provided so much care in her final journey. Tammy was pre-deceased by her siblings Robert (George) Wood and Betti-Jo Townsend.
