Denna Lee Whitfield Pitt Palm Bay, Florida January 27, 1928-November 25, 2018 Denna Lee Whitfield Pitt of Palm Bay, Fl., formerly of Greenville, N.Y. passed away at home on Sunday November 25, 2018. She was the last surviving daughter of the late Lucious Whitfield and Eva Mae Land. She was predeceased by her husband Harry T. Pitt II. Denna was a people person and well liked by all. She loved spending time with family, friends and neighbors. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, sewing, reading, going for walks and caring for her family. She was a school bus driver for the Otisville Bus Garage and Minisink Valley Schools until her retirement in 1988. She was very proud of her Safe Driving awards. She was a member of the Greenville Seniors Leisure Club and participated in the Meals on Wheels program and provided transportation to Seniors. She was a former member of the Faith Reformed Church as well as Joe's Club in Melbourne, Florida. Survivors include her brother Verlon Whitfield and sister-in-law Mary Whitfield as well as her son Harry T. Pitt III and her three daughters Regina Pitt Herman Wood; Ellen Pitt Teller and Theresa Pitt Teller. She is also survived by her 17 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held on Monday December 10, 2018 at 10 AM at the Wallkill Cemetery in the Town of Wallkill, N.Y.
