She was a member of the GWL Volunteer Ambulance Corp and awarded for her outstanding service. She also volunteered her time at Warwick Valley Humane Society.
She will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Barbara was very giving by nature and never hesitated to help out family, friends and neighbors without expecting anything in return. The illness that eventually took her life did not know what it was in for as that tough little girl from Inwood took it to the mat and then some while never losing her wonderful sense of humor!
