Alice L. Jackson of Westbrookville, a retired administrative assistant to the Principal at Middletown High School and a lifelong resident of the area, passed away on August 12, 2018. She was 79. The daughter of the late Henry and Ethel Miller Mason, she was born on August 23, 1938 in Middletown, New York. She was the widow of Percy L. Mason. Alice was a member of the Family Church in Fair Oaks. She was proud to be the first black cheerleader at Middletown High School and did drawings for the yearbook. She was also a former Model. Survivors include her children David Jackson and his wife Yvette of Bullville, N.Y.; Diane Folson and her husband Joseph of Acworth, GA. And Karen Thompson and her husband David of Middletown, N.Y. Her brothers Robert Mason of Westbrookville and Richard Mason of Middletown. Her grandchildren Jaime Bayno Jackson; Ryan Jackson; Hannah Jackson; Bryce Folson; Kyle Folson; Jason Thompson; Timothy Thompson and Shayna Thompson. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren and her nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Joan McGinnis. Services were held on Thursday August 16, 2018 at 4 P.M. at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc. 72 West Main St. Middletown, New York.
