Obituary of John J. Hall

John Joseph Hall passed on June 15, 2018 surrounded by his family. He was 79 years old.

Born in Manhattan on August 12, 1938 to parents John Hall and Annie Roche Hall.

John attended Good Shepherd School in the Inwood section of Manhattan. He was an exceptionally bright, young man who wrote for the school newspaper and became class Valedictorian. However his passion was baseball which he won many medals and trophies. He was so good in fact that in the 1950's he went down South to try out for the Minor Leagues.

He married his loving wife Kathleen on December 7, 1968.

He is survived by his loving wife Kathleen Hall at home. His children, Kelly Beaton and husband James of Cornwall on Hudson, N.Y., Son, Sean Hall of Middletown, N.Y., Maureen Lenihan and husband Francis of Manhattan, and Kati Pereira and husband Keith of Bloomingburg, N.Y. Grandchildren, Spencer, Riley, Keith, Alexander, Isabella, Angelina, Lucian and Aidan. He is also survived by his brother James Hall of Bayside, N.Y. whom he loved very much. Along with friends, cousins, and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his loving sisters, Catherine and Cecilia.

John was a diehard Giants & Rangers fan who loved his dog Brandy. We will miss your laughter,sharp wit, sarcasm and sense of humor. You will always be the reigning Jeopardy champ! We already miss you so much. Godspeed Apache!!

Visitation hours will be held on Saturday June 23,2018 from 2-4 P.M. at the Strong Basile Funeral Home 4 Oak St. Greenwood Lake, N.Y. A prayer service will be held during the visitation hours.

Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
