Joan Mary Devine of Greenwood Lake, a forty-five-year resident of the area, died on June 6, 2018 in Calvary Hospice in Bronx, NY. She was 77. Joan was the widow of Vincent J. Devine. They made Greenwood Lake home in December 1973. Survivors include her three children (Joanne, Dawn and Daniel) along with four grandchildren, a brother and nieces/nephews. She was an active member of the community and was involved with Catholic Daughters, the Teen Center, the Food Bank and the Greenwood Lake Senior Center. She loved spending time with her family, friends, reading and trips with the Seniors. Visitation hours will be held on Thursday June 14, 2018 from 5-8 P.M. at the Strong Basile Funeral Home 4 Oak St. Greenwood Lake, NY. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday June 15, 2018 at 11 A.M. at Holy Rosary Church in Greenwood Lake, NY. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Greenwood Lake Public Library 79 Waterstone Road Greenwood Lake, NY 10925 or the American Lung Assn. 55 W.
