Obituary of Arthur Butch Owens

Arthur W. "Butch" Owens Jr. Greenwood Lake, New York Arthur W. Owens Jr. retired from Verizon and local 1107 in Nanuet, NY died February 13, 2014. He was 66. The son of the late Arthur and Florence Owens, he was born on July 2, 1947 in Brooklyn, NY. He was veteran of the US ARMY National Guard. A Family statement read: "Our angel on earth is now in heaven, the foundation of our family, our rock is gone. He was a gem of a man who was caring, considerate, and generous, not only to his family but to everyone who knew him. If you needed him, he was there for you. He had a heart as big as the world and showed it in the things that he did every day. Our hearts are broken, he will be greatly missed, but never, never, never forgotten. Our angel is watching over us from above." Survivors include his Wife Stephanie Owens at home; his children: Danielle DeLac and her husband Dennis ; Dominique Owens all of Greenwood Lake; Arthur Owens II and his wife Nicole of Wurtsboro; his "Grand kids" : Diesel, Bear, and Faith. He is further survived by nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters: Florence Maxson and Barbara Owens. Visitation hours will be held on Monday February 17, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Strong-Basile Funeral Home, 4 Oak Street Greenwood Lake, NY. Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
