David M. Lewis Sr. Schenectady, New York Formerly of Middletown, New York David M. Lewis Sr. a children's counselor for Pius XII in Chester, NY and a former resident of Middletown, died Monday December 16, 2013 in Ellis Hospital. He was 75. The son of the late James and Viola DeGroat Lewis, he was born on November 14, 1938 in Middletown, NY. Survivors include his wife: Madeline Lewis at home; his six children: Sue Lewis; David Lewis Jr;William Lewis; James Lewis; Joyce Lewis and Patricia Lewis, all of Schenectady, NY; his step-daughter: Rose Williams of Schenectady; his three sisters: Pat Clark of South Carolina; Carolyn Mann of Nevada; Jennie Lewis; his brother: Leslie Lewis; as well as 18 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 11 AM –Noon on Monday December 23, 2013 at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc. 72 West Main Street Middletown. A Funeral Service will be held at Noon on Monday December 3, 2013 at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Middletown, NY.
