Obituary of George E. Risden

George E. Risden Greenwood Lake, N.Y. George E. Risden a former Class A. Machinist and a longtime resident of the area, died on July 7, 2013 at his home. He was 62. The son of the late George R. and Ruth Turner Risden, he was born on January 5, 1951 in Paterson, N.J. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of Holy Rosary Church and a Ham Radio Operator. Survivors include his wife Angela Risden at home. His daughter Jayne Castillo of Newfoundland, N.J. His sisters Carol Heater of Howell, N.J.; Linda Bowers of Liberty, N.Y. and Lisa Gorman of Farmingdale, N.J. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son George Risden Jr. and his brother Rick Risden. Visitation hours will be held on Thursday July 11, 2013 from 5-8 P.M. at the Strong Basile Funeral Home 4 Oak St. Greenwood Lake, N.Y. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday July 12, 2013 at 10 A.M. at Holy Rosary Church in Greenwood Lake. Burial will follow in Greenwood Lake Cemetery.
