James Henry Sinclair (Jimbo) of Walker Valley, NY passed away on May 11th, 2013 after a five month battle with lung cancer. He was 76 years old. Born on June 16th, 1936 in Manhattan, NY, he was the son of the late Margaret T. Sinclair of Lawrence, Mass. He grew up in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn and moved to Walker Valley in 1969. He is predeceased by his beloved mother Margaret T. Sinclair; his eldest sister Dolores (Lolly) Sinclair; his cherished mother and father in law, Margaret and George Fisher; his brothers-in-law George Fisher and Sy Adler; sister-in-law Jessie Fisher and cousins Michele Morrissey & Billy Cassidy. Jimbo met his beloved wife Margaret E. Sinclair (Marge) in 1953; they married in 1955 and celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary on January 11th. He is survived by his heartbroken family including his wife Marge Sinclair; his sisters Barbara Adler of Brooklyn; Ann and her husband Charles Gilmurray of Tucson, AZ; his brother in law John Fisher of Brooklyn; sister in law Inger Lise O'Donnell of Rockaway Beach, his children Maggi Grannis and her husband Paul, of Walker Valley; Lisa Teigland and her husband Chuck of Walker Valley; Tracey Deserto and her husband Paul of Walker Valley; Bryan Sinclair and his wife Danielle of Las Vegas, NV; and Keith Sinclair of Brooklyn. His precious grandchildren include Elissa Kennedy and her husband Dan of Davis, CA; Sera Mance and her husband Sam of Walker Valley; Christy DeJong of Bloomingburg; Colleen Sinclair and Adam Teigland of Walker Valley; and Kathryn, Amy and Nicholas Deserto of Walker Valley. His adored great-grandchildren include Sierra, Dylan and Alex Kennedy of Davis, CA; and Julia and Cora Mance of Walker Valley. He always held a special place in his heart for his wonderful Aunt Kitty Flatley, his nieces and nephews including; Frank & Sue, Della & her children Caitlin, Liam and Muireann, Patty, Alice, Lowell & Jodi and his cousins Gladys, Kaare & Barbara, April & John, Diane & Thomas, Joan & Tom, Nicole, Kelly & Greg, Skye & Shannon. Jimbo worked for many companies throughout his career including Reynolds Aluminum and Tesa Tape, where he made many wonderful friends that he cherished to the end. He learned early on that family and friends were the most important things in life. His lifelong friendships include Eileen and Al Ayala, Joanie and Jackie Nemeth, Billy DePasquale, Tony Salvaggio, Bobby Geroe, Al Higgins, Connie & Nick Coppolla, Chris & Charlie Thomaschek, Diane & Greg McClure, Eileen Stevenson, the Ya Ya's and their families to name a few. Jimbo was a talented man that could accomplish anything he set his mind to, but his greatest gift was making people laugh and feel special. He lived his life with passion and enthusiasm. He was a gourmet cook, master carpenter, gardener, mechanic, plumber and an exceptional golfer, to name a few. Jimbo never missed an opportunity to help his family and friends. He was always there to lend a hand, bend your ear, crack a joke and help his golfing buddies Gary and Jack improve their game. When diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer in January, Jimbo promised, "to fight to the nth degree" which he did. The last nine days of his life were spent entertaining his many cherished friends and family members. The family would like to thank his oncologist Dr. Manuel Perry and the entire oncology nursing staff at Crystal Run Healthcare and ORMC. A special thanks to Christine for her tender, nurturing care during his chemo sessions. Private funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Middletown, NY. A celebration of his life will be held at a later time.
