Obituary of Eileen Jan Gertzkis

Eileen Janet "Jan" Gertzkis Goshen, New York Eileen Gertzkis, a homemaker and lifelong resident of the area died Thursday March 28, 2013 at Orange Regional Medical Center. She was 70. The daughter of the late Harold and Frances Thompson Barker, she was born June 5, 1942 in Goshen, New York. Eileen was a member of the Hudson Valley Model A Ford Club where she was in charge of the Sunshine Club, as well as a former girl scout leader and a 4H Club leader. She had a passion for her puzzle books and an avid reader. Survivors include her husband, Bruce Gertzkis at home; her two children, Salena Gertzkis of Goshen; Holly Kimble and her husband Duke of Middletown; her grandson, Joshua; her two brothers, Harold Barker and his wife Sandy of Virginia; Eugene Barker and his companion Joyce of Campbell Hall; her brothers-in-law, Emile Stevens Sr.; Richard Johnson; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Bernice Corbett; Emily Stevens and Frances Johnson. Visitation will be held from 2-5 PM on Saturday March 30, 2013 at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc. 72 West Main Street Middletown, NY. A Graveside Service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday April 2, 2013 at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Newburgh, NY.
