Obituary of Rosemarie B. Kassel

Rosemarie B. Kassel Greenville, New York Rosemarie B. Kassel,a former resident of Long Island and Rockland County, NY, and a resident of Greenville, NY passed away Friday January 11, 2013 at Orange Regional Medical Center. She was a retired bookkeeper/controller in the Garment District in New York City, where she had worked for many years. The daughter of the late Michael & Mary Russo Mutone, she was born on May 15, 1928 in Bronx, NY. She was the widow of William Kassel. Survivors include her 3 daughters: Denise Kassel & her husband Robert Gorsch of California; Lisa St. Onge of Oneonta, NY; Laura Kraengel& her husband Chris of Greenville; her two brothers: Edward Mutone& his wife Barbara of Rockland County, NY; John Mutone& his wife Anita of New Rochelle, NY; her grandchildren: Ryan & Shawn Kraengel, as well as her nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her sister: Ann Mutone. Rosemarie had a beautiful, youthful, loving spirit. She was an avid reader and a bridge master. She had a wonderful sense of style. She was a member of the Slate Hill Pacers and had many friends who adored her. She instilled in her children and grandchildren a love of the arts, beauty, and nature. She touched the lives of so many people with her wit, her humor, and her joy for life. She was a loving mother, nana, sister, aunt, and friend, and her passing will leave a tremendous void. She will be deeply missed. A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held sometime in the spring.
