Obituary of William J. McNamara

William J. McNamara Sr. of Middletown, a retired Iron Worker with Local 197 in New York City, and a longtime resident of the area, died on December 31, 2012. He was 72. The son of the late John and Rosemary Madden McNamara, he was born on February 17, 1940 in Queens, N.Y. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member and Past President of the Slate Hill Pacers. Survivors include his wife Carol at home. His children: Sean McNamara of South Carolina; Caitlin Mossburg of Maryland; Raymond W. McNamara Sr. of N.Y. City and William J. McNamara Jr. of Slate Hill, N.Y. He is also survived by his grandchildren and his brother Eugene McNamara of the State of Florida. Visitation hours will be held on Thursday January 3, 2013 from 3-5 P.M. with Services at 5 P.M. at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc. 72 West Main St. Middletown, N.Y. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
