William A. Mills Jr. of Greenwood Lake, a Union Plumber and longtime resident of the area, died on September 20, 2012 in the Joe Rafo Hospice in New City, N.Y. He was 64. The son of the late William and Edna Harris Mills, he was born on September 27, 1947 in Nyack, New York. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Vietnam era. Survivors include his daughters Dawn Mills and Linda Mills. His grandchildren. His brothers Glen Mills and his wife Lucila of Demarest, N.J.; Norman Mills and his wife Alice of Sparkill, N.Y. and Wayne Mills and his wife Marie of Emerson, N.J. He is also survived by nieces and nephews. Visitation hours will be held on Tuesday September 25, 2012 from 9-11 A.M. at the Strong Basile Funeral Home 4 Oak St. Greenwood Lake, N.Y. Funeral services will follow at 11 A.M. at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Orange County Veterans Cemetery Goshen, N.Y. Memorial contributions may be made to the Joe Raso Hospice Residence c/o United Hospice of Rockland 11 Stokum Lane New City, N.Y. 10956.
