Obituary of Mary C. Perlongo

Mary C. Perlongo, a water treatment specialist and longtime resident of the area died Tuesday April 29, 2014 at St. Anthony's Community Hospital. She was 63. The daughter of the late John and Anne Johnston Collins, she was born January 28, 1951 in New York, New York. She was a member of the Water Quality Association. Survivors include: her children: Anthony Perlongo of Queens, NY; Alyson Perlongo DeLucia and her husband Greg of Hoboken, NJ; her brothers: John Collins and his wife Rita Jayne of Malverne, NY; Martin Collins and his wife Kim of Greenwood Lake, NY; her sisters: Ann Patricia Collins of New York, NY; Susan Ellen Collins of the state of Florida; as well as nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Saturday May 3, 2014 from 7-9 PM and Sunday May 4, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Strong-Basile Funeral Home 4 Oak Street Greenwood Lake, NY. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday May 5, 2014 at 10 AM at Holy Rosary Church in Greenwood Lake, NY. Entombment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Greenwood Lake Public Library 79 Waterstone Road Greenwood Lake, NY 10925.
