Richard L. Blose of Westtown, N.Y., a retired teacher with the Minisink Valley School District and a longtime area resident, passed away on January 18, 2022, in Goshen, N.Y. He was 88. The son of the late Tilghman and Alice Markel Blose, Richard was born on April 11, 1933, in Palmerton, Pennsylvania. Richard was an active member of the Slate Hill Pacers. He was also an avid golfer, bowler, wood carver, and a dedicated Yankee and Giants fan. Richard is survived by his wife, Harriet Blose of Westtown. They married on April 26th, 1958, and lived happily together for 63 years. Richard is also survived by his children Andrew Blose and his wife Joanne, Roberta Briggs and husband Robert, Randy Blose and wife, Maria. His six grandchildren are Brittany, Ashlynn, Nicholas, Alexander, Derek, and Matthew. The family wishes to thank Dr. Charles Strober, MD, and Dr. Jeffrey Stewart, MD, for their care. Please be advised that due to NYSDOH guidelines, facial coverings are required at all times while inside the Funeral Home. Visitation hours will be held on Monday, January 24, 2022, from 2-4 P.M. at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in Richard's name (www.lls.org).
