Obituary of Harlem G. Alindogan

Please share a memory of Harlem to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Harlem G. Alindogan died Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, NY. He was 72. Harlem retired from Mt. Sinai Hospital in NY from the Patient Accounts Dept after 31 years and a longtime resident of Middletown. His recent years showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile and humor. Despite it all, Harlem fought each day never backing down and stayed strong until the end. Harlem was one of ten children, and the eldest son of the late Rogelio and Gloria G. Alindogan, born May 12, 1949 in Bicol, Philippines. He attended the University of the East in Manila, Philippines and graduated with a bachelor's degree in business administration. He met and soon married his wife Felicitas Canares on Oct 10, 1972. Soon after, they permanently relocated to New York to raise 3 children. Harlem was a movie-buff for action films, a music enthusiast for the Oldies-and 70s disco. He loved to listen to them and sing along any chance he had. Harlem was known for his jolly personality and practical jokes. A humble, easy-going man who enjoyed a good cup of coffee in his Bruce Lee mug and a simple conversation. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Felicitas Alindogan, his two sons and one daughter: Ronald, Andrew, and Christine Alindogan; and three grandchildren. He will be dearly missed but always remembered and forever loved. The Alindogan Family respectfully invite friends and acquaintances to come celebrate Harlem's Life on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc. located on 72 West Main St. Middletown, N.Y. 10940 from the hours of 2:00-5:00 P.M.
