Obituary of Richard R. DuMond

Richard R. "Dick" DuMond Middletown, New York Richard R. "Dick" DuMond of Middletown, New York, a retired Utility man for the Middletown Board of Education passed away on June 18, 2021 at Garnet Health Medical Center. He was 86. The son of the late Abram and Edna Predmore DuMond, he was born on August 9, 1934 in Middletown, New York. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Dick was a longtime member of the Middletown Salvation Army. He was a past chief and past commissioner of the Washington Heights Fire Department and a past member of the Phoenix Engine Co. in Middletown, N.Y. Survivors include his wife Lillian DuMond at home. His children Stephen DuMond and his wife Phyllis of Westtown, N.Y. and Kathryn LaSpina and her husband Frank of Middletown, N.Y. His sisters Ethel Kruger and Joanne Hill and her husband Walter of Middletown, N.Y. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers David and Paul DuMond. Visitation hours will be held on Wednesday June 23, 2021 from 4-7 P.M. at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc. 72 West Main St. Middletown, N.Y. Services will be held on Wednesday at 6 P.M. at the Funeral Home. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made in Richard's name to the Middletown Salvation Army or the Washington Heights Fire Department.
