JAMES J. DIRUSSO, JR. August 23, 1930 - January 16, 2021 James (Jim) DiRusso Jr. was a lifelong resident of Middletown, NY until his 2016 move to GA with family. He passed away on January 16, 2021 at the age of 90. The son of the late James and Helen DiRusso, he was born on August 23, 1930 in Middletown, New York. He was a union bricklayer for 35 years, then was a member of the maintenance staff for Middletown School District for 15 years. Jim was a proud lifetime Elk and member of The Middletown Elks Lodge where he assisted with Bingo for 41 years. He was preceded in his passing by his beautiful wife of 51 years, Dolores Mary Dino DiRusso. He is survived by his loving sister MaryAnn McElroy; his four children and their loved ones: Wendy Cosner of SC, James DiRusso III of NY, Gary and Leslie DiRusso of GA, and Anne and Tom Klein of FL, along with his grandchildren Melanie Wyant, Gary DiRusso, Laura Klein, Jessi Ciorra, Tatiana Wildt, Robyn Engman, Alyssa Owens, and Ryan DiRusso, and his 15 great grandchildren. He will surely be missed by all until we meet again. Please be aware due to NYSDOH guidelines facial coverings and social distancing must be maintained at all times at the Church. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday January 26, 2021 at 11 A.M. at St. Joseph Church in Middletown. The Mass from St Joseph's Church will be live streamed via the following link https://my.gather.app/remember/james-dirusso-jr Burial will be private in St. Joseph Cemetery Middletown, N.Y.
