William Cockburn

William G. Cockburn, a retired police officer for the City of New York passed away Monday April 7, 2014 at Schervier Pavilion in Warwick, NY. He was 77. The son of the late Andrew and Evelyn Patrick Cockburn, he was born on February 9, 1937 in Bronx, NY. He was a veteran of the US ARMY. Survivors include his wife: Roberta Cockburn at home; his three children: Chris Cockburn and his wife Stephanie of Goshen, NY; Jeanne Garrison of Greenwood Lake, NY and Kevin Reilly of Greenwood Lake; his brother: George Cockburn and his wife Maureen of Jacksonville, Florida; his five grandchildren: Kayleigh; Andrew; Heather; Lia and Madison; as well as several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 2-4 & 7-9 PM on Thursday April 10, 2014 at the Strong-Basile Funeral Home 4 Oak Street Greenwood Lake, NY. Funeral Services will be held at 10 AM on Friday April 11, 2014 at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Greenwood Lake Cemetery.
