Violet Truchess of Middletown, a longtime resident of the area and a commercial artist and graphic designer in N.Y. City and the local area, died on Saturday May 26, 2018 in Highland Rehab in Middletown. She was 89. Violet was born in New York City on February 22, 1929. The family would like to thank the special staff of the Highland Rehab for their excellent care of Violet over the years. She was the widow of Frederick Warren Truchess. Survivors include her daughter Christine Reisert. Her grandsons Jasen Mahoney and his wife Nancy of Wurtsboro and Francis Reisert and his wife Bobbie Jean of Bloomingburg. Her great-granddaughters Saige and Kaya Reisert both of Bloomingburg and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her grandson Christopher Reisert. Visitation hours will be held on Wednesday May 30, 2018 from 10-11 A.M. with a Funeral Service at 11 A.M. at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc. 72 West Main St. Middletown, N.Y. Burial will be in Slate Hill Cemetery in Goshen, New York. Memorial contributions may be made to the Middletown Humane Society.
