Vera Green Dixon of Newburgh, N.Y. and a former longtime resident of Campbell Hall, N.Y. passed away on June 17, 2022. Vera was retired from the County of Orange, where she worked in the Finance Department. She was 80.
The daughter of the late Edward and Pauline Hunter McGill, she was born on June 29, 1941 in the Town of Blooming Grove, N.Y.
She was the widow of James Green.
Vera was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church of Hamptonburgh and the Campbell Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband, Ralph Dixon. Her daughter Dollie Green and her sister Pauline Burch. Her grandchildren Melissa Green; William Green, and James Green III. Her great-grandchildren Olivia Green; Averi Green; Aaron Green; Emelia Green and Kason Green. She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her sons James Green Jr., William Green and Dale Green and her daughter Pauline. Her sisters Adella Johnson, Helen Bacon and Ida Williams and her brother Howard Freeman.
Visitation hours will be held on Saturday June 25, 2022 from 10 A.M-12 Noon at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc. 72 West Main St. Middletown, N.Y.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday June 25, 2022 at 1 P.M. at the First Presbyterian Church of Hamptonburgh Route 207 Campbell Hall, N.Y.
Burial will be in the Hamptonburgh Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Hamptonburgh or the Campbell Hall Fire Department.
