Thomas M. Russo of Greenwood Lake, N.Y., a retired pressman with the N.Y. Times and a longtime resident of the area, died on May 17, 2014 at his home. He was 86. The son of the late Thomas and Elizabeth Russo, he was born on June 29, 1927 in Arlington, N.J. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during World War II. He was a member of Holy Rosary Church and Our Lady Queen of Peace Church. He was a member of the American Legion. He was the widower of Pauline Russo. Survivors include his children: Mary F. Russo of Greenwood Lake; Wayne T. Russo and his wife Paula of Greenwood Lake; Denise Cohn of Hawthorne, N.J.; Robert B. Russo and his wife Betty of Nanuet and Diane P. Flanagan and her companion Ed of Hawthorne, N.J. Her sister Lorraine Harrison of California. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday May 20, 2014 at 10 A.M. at Holy Rosary Church in Greenwood Lake, N.Y. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery North Arlington, N.J. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties or the American Heart Assn.
