Stella A. Wildschut Middletown, New York Stella A. Wildschut, a former chiropractor, avid organist and former teacher, passed away Thursday January 1, 2015 at home with her loving family by her side. She was 97. The daughter of the late John and Martha Petroelje DeJonge , she was born July 1, 1917 in Zeeland, Michigan. She was a very accomplished woman of her era having graduated from Hope College in Michigan, Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where she received her teaching certification and the Palmer School of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. She was the widow of the Rev. Ralph Wildschut. She was former Organist and an active member of the Goshen Christian Reformed Church as well as the Goshen Seniors. Survivors include her children : Mary VanDerHeide and her husband Martin of Sussex, NJ; Joan VanDerHeide of Middletown, NY; Randy Wildschut and his wife Julie of Warwick, NY; James Wildschut of Middletown, NY; her sister: Marilyn Koops of North Brunswick, NJ; her grandchildren: Martin VanDerHeide IV ; Matthew VanDerHeide; Rebecca Gordon; Stella Geraghty; Elizabeth Thomas; Christine VanDerHeide and Samuel VanDerHeide as well as 10 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her brother-in-law: James W. Wilson and her sisters-in-law : Ethel Scholten and Helen Wildschut and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son: John Wildschut and two brothers: Peter J. DeJonge and Joy DeJonge. The family would like to thank Hospice of Orange County "for their support in our time of need." Visitation will be held from 2-5 PM on Sunday January 4, 2015 at Lippincott Funeral Chapel, Inc. 107 Murray Avenue Goshen. Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM on Monday January 5, 2015 at the Goshen Christian Reformed Church. Burial will follow in Florida Cemetery, Florida, NY. In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be made to charities of one's choice.
