Ralph D. "Papi" Renna, an employee of Avalon Eyewear in Northvale, NJ and a longtime resident of the area, died Saturday April 7, 2012 at Orange Regional Medical Center. He was 69. The son of the late Ralph F. and Elizabeth Marano Renna, he was born May 3, 1942 in Brooklyn, NY. He was formerly the President and Owner of Hudson Valley Case Corp. in Newburgh, N.Y. and vice-president of Classic Case Corp. in Middletown. He played softball for the 101 Pub. He enjoyed fishing with his grandchildren. His favorite saying was: "it is what it is." He enjoyed his cigars and spending time with his dog; he loved his grandchildren and lovingly referred to his wife, Evelyn as , "my bride." Survivors include his wife: Evelyn Renna; his children: Michael G. Renna of Long Island, NY; Darren Renna (Teresa) of Long Island, NY; Victor (Melody) and Kiamesha of Middletown, NY ; his grandchildren: Bari; Gia; Sophia; Lucas; Victor Jr; Elias and Rasun. He is also survived by his brother: Douglas Renna; his former wife: Barbara; as well as his "Pub Boys." He was predeceased by his sister: Camille Renna. Visitation will be held on Saturday April 14, 2012 from 1-4 PM at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc. 72 West Main Street Middletown, NY. Services will be held at 2 PM.
